1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions are an agreement between you and OrvexaCo for the Android app Sudoku Cove (the App). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Personal licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Android devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the App, except where the law expressly permits.
3. Free to play
The App is free to play and has no ads. Puzzles, levels, game modes, hints and daily challenges are free and do not require a purchase. Optional in-app purchases are described below.
4. In-app purchases
The App offers these optional purchases through Google Play:
- Cove Premium, monthly or yearly: auto-renewing subscriptions. The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial.
- Cove Premium, lifetime: a one-time purchase that does not renew.
- Coin packs: consumable in-game coins, used for cosmetic avatar frames.
Prices are shown in Google Play before you buy, in your local currency, and may vary by country. Payments are processed by Google Play under its terms. We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) to validate purchases and manage subscription status, as described in the Privacy Policy. The App does not require an account; purchases are linked to your Google Play account.
5. Subscriptions and free trial
- Cove Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, and you are charged through Google Play, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time in the Google Play Store app, under Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access to Cove Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- The 7-day free trial on the yearly plan converts to a paid yearly subscription when it ends, unless you cancel before the trial ends. Google Play decides whether you are eligible for a trial.
6. Refunds
Refunds for purchases and subscriptions follow Google Play's refund policy. You can request a refund through Google Play. Nothing in these Terms limits refund rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of the country you live in.
7. Coins and in-game items
- Coins, whether bought or earned, and stars, levels, season rewards and other in-game items are virtual items with no cash value. They cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money or anything outside the App.
- Coins are stored only on your device. Removing the App or resetting game data removes your coins, including bought coins, and they cannot be restored.
- Cove Premium is linked to your Google Play account and can be restored on a new install or device with Restore purchases in the App.
8. Changes to in-app items
We may change, add, reprice or discontinue in-app items, including Cove Premium features and coin packs. Any price change for an active subscription follows Google Play's rules for notifying you.
9. Seasons, challenges and rivals
- Puzzles, seasons, challenges and rewards are generated by the App and may change over time.
- Daily and seasonal features follow your device's date. Changing the date may affect them.
- League rivals are computer-generated. They are not real people, and league results carry no prizes outside the game.
10. Your progress
Your progress is stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping it, including by using the backup feature in the App. Uninstalling the App, resetting game data or losing your device can permanently remove your progress, and we cannot recover it for you.
11. Statistics
Statistics, scores and reports in the App describe gameplay only. They are not medical, psychological or cognitive assessments.
12. Fair use
You must not interfere with the App, its purchase flows or its intended operation, including by modifying game data to obtain paid items, or use the App to copy, resell or redistribute its content.
13. Privacy
The App does not require an account. Gameplay works fully offline; the App uses an internet connection only for purchases and restoring them. Its data practices are described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
14. Intellectual property
The App, including its name, logo, artwork, sounds and puzzle generation, belongs to OrvexaCo or its licensors. Open-source fonts and icons remain under their own licences, listed in the App.
15. Updates and availability
We may update, change or discontinue the App or any feature. We aim to keep your saved progress when updating, but we do not guarantee it.
16. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OrvexaCo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of progress or data, arising from use of the App. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these may not apply to you.
17. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Your licence ends if you breach these Terms. Cancelling a subscription is done in Google Play, not by uninstalling. Sections concerning the licence, coins and in-game items, fair use, intellectual property, disclaimer and contact survive termination.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable local law. Disputes are resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction at our principal place of business unless otherwise required. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of the country you live in.
19. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date when we do. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
